William H. Lang, 22, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Erna (née Fiedler) Lang, was killed in action on January 30, 1945, in Belgium.
He was born in Winona on October 21, 1922. After two years of study at Winona State Teachers College he entered the University of Minnesota where he remained until his induction.
He was survived by his parents; one sister, Ruth Jean, at home; and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William H. (Ida née Hilke) Lang of Winona.
