Margaret Hund, 87, Paxico, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2013. Margaret was born, May 26, 1925, in Lucas KS, the daughter of Joe and Katherine Baur. After attending Fort Hays State, Margaret taught at various country schools near Wilson. Deciding that her passion was teaching, she taught for a year at WaKeeney. In 1955, Margaret and Wilfred Hund were united in marriage and settled on the farm in Paxico where they raised their eight children. Wilfred preceded her in death in 1982. Survivors include her children, Fr. Francis Hund, Leawood , Cathryn Radiel (Chris), Olathe, Paul Hund (Lise), Topeka, George Hund (Marcia), Paxico, Ruth Jones (Don), Lyndon, Barbara Leiszler (John), Clifton, Regina Carlin (Willis), Colwich, Julia Brown (Dave), Olathe; 25 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Margaret was also preceded in death by her siblings, Francis and Mary Ann Baur. A wake service and rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. tonight, Thursday, at Sacred Heart Church, Paxico, where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Online condolences may be made to www.kevinbrennanfamily.com.
