Allen, George – (son of Patrick and Margaret Allen of Alton, Iowa ) married Anna Elizabeth Frembgen of Alvord on February 10 1904. Anna was the daughter of Leo and Theresa Frembgen. George and Anna farmed three miles north of Alvord from 1904 to 1912. They had five children. Daughters Coletta (born March 8, 1906 ), Ethel (born April 28, 1908 ) and Lois (born January 25, 1910 ) were born while the family lived north of Alvord. A daughter Rose (born June 11, 1914 ) and a son Donald (born December 26, 1923 ) were born after the family moved from Alvord to Woonsocket, SD.
Anna passed away March 23, 1932 and George passed away January 28, 1935. Daughter Lois passed away August 6, 1968.
Currently, Donald lives in Pierre, SD; Rose lives in Marysville, Wa.; Coleta lives in Lakeside, Ca; and Ethel lives in Florence, Or.
