FLORENCE, Ariz. - Carol Bachman, 66, formerly of Auburn, died Saturday, September 26, 2009 at her home. Mass of the Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Auburn, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Auburn. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday with a scripture prayer service at 7 p.m. at Lampe Funeral Home in Lake City.

Survivors include her husband, Lornie Bachman of Florence, Arizona, daughters, Angela (Dean) Kennebeck of Ankeny, Iowa and Amanda Bachman Lay of Conroe, Texas, 3 granddaughters, Ashley, Megan and Katelyn Kennebeck, brothers, Lewis and Paul ( Kathy) Otto both of Lake City, and Henry (Lorie) Otto of Auburn, and sisters, Mary Kay Green of Lake City, JoAnn (JR) Rhoades of Ely, Minnesota, and Nancy Schettler of Indianola, Iowa, along with many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Gary Otto, nephew Joseph Otto, and brother-in-law, Boyd Green.

Carol Jane Otto was born May 26, 1943 at Lake City, Iowa to Henry and Alta (Heim) Otto. She graduated from St. Bernard High School in 1962. On July 21, 1962, she was married to Lornie Bachman at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Carol worked as a waitress at Van's Cafe and The Office, both in Auburn, as a hostess at the Lakewood Ballroom and had an in-home day care. She also worked in maintenance at the Florence Gardens Mobile Home Association for 8 years. She was a member and past president of the American Legion Auxiliary in Auburn, St. Mary's Altar Society, St. Mary's Choir Member, and was also a past Girl Scout Leader.
