Vincent Gerald Lux was born on September 20, 1932, at Worthington, Iowa, the son of Matt and Elizabeth (Eike) Lux.
Vince was united in marriage to Madonna Eilers on April 24, 1957, at the St. Francis Xavier Basilica Church in Dyersville. Together they farmed south of Manchester. Vince was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Ryan.
Vince passed away at the Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids on Thursday, May 3, 2007, following a brief illness.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Lux of Ryan; one son, Dave (Joyce) Lux of Manchester; one daughter, Sue (Pat) Weber of Monticello; seven grandchildren, Shannon, Michelle, Jason and Leah Lux, and Kristin, Jenny and Tyler Weber; and two brothers-in-law, Ambrose (Kay) Eilers of Monticello, and Loras (Jean) Demmer of Greeley.
Vince was preceded in death by an infant child; his parents; two sisters, Rosella Weber and Viola Peters; one brother, Walter Lux; and a nephew, Larry Lux.
