James KOLDE

James "Jim" Kolde, 65, of Wamego died Tuesday September 1st, 2009 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka after a courageous battle with brain cancer. Born on October 11, 1943 in Paxico, Kansas, he was the son of Raymond "Doc" and Leola E. (Hesse) Kolde. He attended Newbury and St. Mary's Grade Schools and later graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1961. Jim proudly served his country with the United States Navy from October 1961 thru September 1964. In 1967 he married Linda Harris. The couple divorced. He later married Barbara Anne Jones in 1988. They later divorced. He was also a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church. His survivors include: his sons, Jason Kolde, of Wamego, KS, Chad Kolde and wife Jessica of Atlanta, GA and Shane Kolde of Wamego, KS; his mother, Leola Kolde of St. Mary's, KS; his special friend, Linda Springer; his brothers, Bob Kolde of St. Mary's, KS and Rick Kolde of Belvue, KS; his sisters, Dorothy Hoobler and husband Kenny of St. Mary's, KS, Mary Miller and husband Dennis of St. Mary's, KS, Barb Leeper and husband Mick of Topeka, KS and Theresa Webb and husband Ron of Silver Lake, KS. Jim was preceded in death by his father, Raymond and his sister Eileen. A mass of Christian burial will be Friday September 4th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Wamego. The Rosary will be said Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. at Stewart Funeral Home in Wamego with visitation following until 8:30 p.m.
