OVERBROOK - Margaret M. Gast, 84, died Monday, July 10, 2000, at Brookside Manor, Overbrook. Funeral mass will be Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Ottawa. She was born Nov. 14, 1915, in Conception, Mo., to Lawrence and Anna (Weiderholt) Meyer. On Nov. 12, 1932, she married Albert V. Gast at Conception. He died Dec. 6, 1986. She worked 20 years at Mode O'Day, Ottawa, retiring in November 1980. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
She is survived by five sons, Lawrence Gast, Ottawa, Marvin Gast, Emporia, Ronald Gast, Scranton, Robert Gast and Terry Gast, both Olathe; two daughters, Lou Ann Korbe, Topeka, and Marilyn Ullery, Scranton; one sister, Dorothy Spire, Maryville, Mo.; 21 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Meyer; four grandchildren, Lawrence Gast, Laura Gast, Joshua Gast and Roletta Ullery; and one great-grandchild, Justin Barnaby.
Burial at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
