Evelyn Joann HESTER

She was born in Birmingham, Alabama, to Robert and Anna Mae (Barnett) Hester. She attended schools in Braggadocio, Missouri. She married Robert G. McMullen and he preceded her in death. She later married Edgar W. Gragg, in McAlester, and he also preceded her in death. She owned Indian Trails Antiques and enjoyed collecting Barbie dolls and antiques. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family, especially her great-grandson. She was a member of the Coal Miners Club. She passed away at the age of 73 in McAlester. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Mia and Charles Rogers, of McAlester; a grandson, Robbie Rogers, of McAlester; a granddaughter and spouse, Christina and Brandon Jordan, of McAlester; a great-grandson, Anthony Jordan, of McAlester. Also, a sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Victor Rainey, Leighton, Ala.; a brother, Terry Ledlow, Leighton, Ala., and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Anna Mae Hester; a sister, Catherine Lovell (April 3, 2008), and a brother-in-law, Myran Ray Lovell (2002). Funeral services will be April 16, 2008, at Bishop Chapel of Memories with the Rev. Jerry Burnside officiating. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service of McAlester.
