Lifelong Resident Dies Here Tuesday Death Follows Paralytic Stroke Suffered by Art Devereaux Monday Afternoon Athur B. Devereaux, 74, lifelong resident of this locality died at 5 a.m. Tuesday in his home here on North Madison street, following a stroke paralysis suffered at 4 p.m. Monday. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow, Friday, in the Roderick funeral home with the Rev. Grant Clark, pastor of the Congregational church officiating. The chapel music will be played by Mrs. C.W. Hazlet. Burial will be in Maple Hill cemetery with six nephews, Harley, Burton and Lyle Wall, Stanley and Marshall Dav__ and Leslie Smith acting as pall bearers. Mr. Devereaux, son of the late John and Phoebe Johns Devereaux, was born March 22, 1868, on a farm near Butts Corners rural school. From 18-- to 1892 he was employed by the Chicago and Northwestern railroad as telegraph operator. He married Miss Lillian Sayles this city, Jun 1, 1902.
