Olive Ann WOOD

Birth: Oct. 10, 1936 Spokane Spokane Washington, USADeath: Oct. 12, 2006 Helena Lewis and Clark Montana, USA Olive Ann Syth, age 70, of Boulder, passed away Oct. 12, 2006, in Helena. She was born Oct. 10, 1936, in Spokane, Wash., to Edward and Kathlyn Wood. She was raised and attended school in Chinook. She worked as a waitress at her mother's restaurant, where she met her husband. She married Leslie R. Syth on Jan. 25, 1956, in Havre. They then lived in Havre, Chinook and Helena, moving often with Leslie's construction job. They moved to Whitehall in 1968. Olive and Leslie divorced in 1984. In 1984 she began working in the food management department at the Montana Developmental Center at Boulder. She enjoyed her grandchildren and great-nieces and great-nephews, spending time shopping, sewing and gardening. She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Wood and sister, Wava May Wood. Survivors include children, Kathryn Syth of Billings; Mary Kay and Dan Kennedy of Ray, N.D.; Michael and Penny Syth of Buckley, Wash.; John and Bonnie Syth of Buckley, Wash.; mother, Kathlyn B. Sievers; sister Mary Ellen and Gordon Giulio of Boulder; six grandchildren, Kathryn C. Watts, Kevin V. Watts, Leslie D. Syth, Anthony T. Syth, Samantha A. Syth, Daniel R. Kennedy, Jr.; two great-grandchildren, Jered M. Sullivan and Jeyden M. Sullivan; nieces and nephews, Rusty (Kim) Giulio, Bruce (Lisa) Giulio, Steve (Tina) Giulio, Sherri (Deven) Olson, Jenny (Troy) Wood; great-nieces and great-nephews, Jesse Giulio, Kayla Giulio, Whitney Giulio, Soja Giulio, Amber Giulio, Branna Giulio, Bruce Giulio Jr., Stephanie Giulio, Kirby Giulio, Kerby Giulio, Andrew Giulio, Tristan Olson, Derek Wood, Darren Wood and Ashley Wood. Memorials are preferred to the Boulder Carousel Fund. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the K&L Mortuary Chapel at Boulder with Russ Genaw officiating.
