William Jr. House [Parents] was born about 1684 in Glastonbury, Connecticut. He died in 1742 in Glastonbury, Connecticut. He married Hannah Loveland on Dec 1 1709 in Glastonbury, Connecticut. William had 67 acres laid out April 12, 1720, granted by the town of Glastonbury, and acquired other lands from the Bidwells. Hale, House and Related Families, pg. 331 He was married 3 times. William House had 67 acres laid out, 12 Apr. 1720 granted by the Town of Glastonbury. On 30 Sep. 1723, John Bidwell of Hartford sold to William House of Glastonbury 18 acres, part of the estate of his father, J ohn Bidwell, deceased. He had 56 acres 32 rods in the Five Miles Tract laid out to him, 23 Dec. 1723. On 2 Sep. 1724, Martha Bidwell of Hartford conveyed to him land that came to her husband Jonathan Bidwell, deceased, from his father, John Bidwell of Hartford; and Martha Bidwell, Jr. of Hartford quit claimed her interest, 25 Feb 1733/4, and James Bidwell quit claimed his interest 5 Aug. 1737. !AFN 94KW-BR FAMILY SEARCH His son appears in deeds as William House, Jr. as late as Jan. 1741/2, and releases were given by his heirs from 1742 to 1744, the earliest dated 29 Sep. 1742. He therefore died during that year. William House, Benony House, and Josiah Benton and his wife Hannah, all of Glastonbury, sold to Josiah Hollister of Glastonbury, 17 Dec. 1744, an eighth of a large tract, the whole con taining 24 1/2 acres. This was probably Loveland land, inherited from their mother. On 29 Sep. 1742, Josiah Benton and his wife Hannah, for 50 pounds, quit claimed to William House 60 acres with a dwelling in Eastbury Parish " where William House now dwelleth," and right to the movable estate "our Hon.Father William House Dyed Seased of." The same date, William House, for 500 pounds, quit claimed to Benony House, 82 acres with a dwelling where Benony House now lives and half the movable estate "my Honoured Father William House Dyed Seized of. " Abigail House was a witness to both the forgoing deeds. There are also deeds of lide date , from Benoni House to William House, for 500 pounds, releasing the 60 acres in Eastbury, and also 56 acres, and from Josiah Benton and his wife Hannah to Benony House, releasing their interest in the 80 acres where Benony lives.. On 18 Jun 1765, Josiah Bention and Hannah his wife, William House and Benoni House, all of Glastonbury, and Eunis Keeny of Hartford, sold to Abraham Hollister, 5 acres 130 rods, being part of alot laid out to the heirs of William House, deceased. These were the three children of the second William House, and probably the widow of his brother John House, under her second married name of Keeney. ! Hale House and Related Families, pg. 337. Married second Abigail Porter in Glastonbury, Hartford, Connecticut 9 Jan.1741/2. She is the daughter of Hezekiah and Hannah (Cowles) Porter, born 27 Aug. 1693, no death date.
