[PrivatePittardHingstMaroldoFinckCompleteOct2002.FTW] John Haile as the father of Edward Haile (1st) is based on circumstantial evidence. Included in John's children are William, Edward, and John. No English records are found on these three but all three apparently went to America in the right time period and were the right ages to fit the Isle of Wight, Va Hailes. William and John were transported by David Williamson who was patented land in Va on 16 Feb 1665/6 for the transporation of about 60 persons. Ann Toft was patented land on he same day for the transport of about 100 persons including Edward Haile. Thomas Wright was patented 1000 acres on the Rappa. River on 1 Aug 1665 for the transport of 20 persons, including edward Haile. It is very possible that Edward and his brothers made several trips between England and America - or there could have been several Hales of the same given name. Based on the ocurance of the names in the Edward Haile family, his age, and date of arrival, I feel he was the Son of John Haile of Kent England.
