Notizen zu dieser Person
BIRTH: He was eight years old when he immigrated to New England in 1634. IMMIGRATION: He crossed the Atlantic in April 1634 on the "Francis" of Ipswich, age eight years, as a member of the household of John Bernard aka Barnard. As Bernard was also a maltster, it is probable that Henry Howard was his apprentice. RESIDENCE: On Sep 27, 1663, John Barnard conveyed a lot to Henry Howard, which the latter ultimately deeded to his son, Samuel Howard. PROBATE: Henry Howard's inventory was made in Mar 1708/9 by Joseph Wadsworth and Aaron Cooke, and amounted to 649 pounds, one shilling. OCCUPATION: Malster. Maltster is one of those trades which are not so familiar to us today. He treated barley with malt in his malthouse. The finished product was then used to brew beer.
