May 22, 169 9) m. 1 st Mercy Smith, b. c 1706, d/o Samuel Smith and Mary Church a nd 2 nd after 1749, Sarah (Webster) Case, b. at Glastonbury, Jan 13, 1718/ 19, d/o Jonathan Webster and Esther Judd, widow of John Case. Inventory of the estate of John Case of Glastonbury was taken on Ju ly 1, 1749 by Jonathan Webster of Glastonbury and Timothy Porter, Jr ., of Hartford. The small estate was insolvent and half of it was set o ut to the widow. "Manwaring's Digest, 3:521" Therefore Sarah Webster Case m. John Keeney after this 1749 invento ry and before Jonathan Webster's will was written in Sep 14,1758 whe re he names his dau Sarah Keeney {Hartford Wills from the Webster Genealog y} While all of this was going on, John Keeney {b. 1712} was having chil dren from Anna in 1739 to Ester in 1754 and more. He was in the deed rec ords of Statford, Fairfield ,., from 1737 to 1752 and in Kent, Litca hfield Countyfrom 1752 to 1774 and in Washington in 1784. It would have b een quite unlikely for Sarah Webster Case who was married to John Ca se up to his death in 1749 to have been the mother of these children b. 17 39 to 1754. ==================================================== If you find verifiable errors, please let me know.
