Als ihre Mutter starb, zog Margarete nach Bad Schwartau bis zu ihrem Tod.
Ihr ganzes Geld bekamen im Laufe der Zeit sog. "Freundinnen", bzw. Leute, die sie pflegten, bei ihrem Tod war nichts mehr vorhanden. Beate Schlabohm war Erbin, jedoch gab es nichts mehr zu erben. So kümmerte sich keiner um das Grab (billigste Kategorie, keine Blumen, Rasengrab).
