Barbara BROCKMANN

Barbara Karis, 86, (nee: Brockman) died on December 23, 2018. She was a lifelong resident of Bayonne. Barbara was a Registered Nurse and worked at Bayonne Medical Center for many years, retiring in 2005. She was incredibly thankful for her immediate family, hospital family, and many friends in helping her to live a full and enriched life.

Barbara was the devoted daughter of the late Herman & Emma Brockman (nee: Kresge).

She was predeceased by her dear husband, Harry J. Karis; her loving daughter, the late Denise Tuman; and beloved companion, Pat Cerra.

Barbara is survived by two loving daughters, Susan Karis and Joanne Bozewski; and her dear son-in-law, Barry Tuman.

She was the devoted grandmother of Lauren Rardin, and her husband Jonathan, Amanda Imszennik, and her husband, Matthew, and Lily Madigan. She was the loving great grandmother of Dylan, Ethan and Elle Rardin; and the dear sister of Herman Brockman and his wife, Helen. She was the cherished aunt of Sherry Lynn Rymer, and her husband, Bryan, Laurene Volkel, and her husband, Robert; four grand nephews; and dearest friend, Doreen Stabile.

Visitation will be held at Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc. on Saturday, December 29, 2018, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with funeral service to follow. Cremation will be private. Interment of Barbara's ashes will take place at a later date at Oceanview the Cemetery Beautiful, Staten Island.
