GEORGE IMMEL DIES AT HOME All Relatives Were At Bedside at Time of Death Mrs. Caroline Immel, widow of George Immel, died at 5:15 oclock Thursdayevening at her home 251 Fond du Lac Avenue. She was 53 years of agehaving been born June 19, 1870 in the Town of Forest. With the exceptionof the past year when she came to this city she has spent her entire lifein the Town of Empire. She married George Immel in 1887. Mrs. Immel leaves eleven children to whom she was a devoted mother andhost of friends all of whom respected her highly. The children are Albert and Arnold Immel and Mrs. John Hettwer of Empire;George of Forest; Ernest, Edward, Oscar, Arthur, Erwin, Marie and Mrs.Harry Gneiser of this city. She is likewise survived by ten grandchildren; one brother, Charles Rein of this city and two sisters,Mrs. Fred Steubs of this city and Mrs. L.J. White of Oakland,California. All of the relatives were at Mrs. Immels bedside at thetime of her death. The body was removed to the Hardgrove and Gordon Funeral Home but wastaken back to the residence this afternoon. It will lie in state thereuntil 1:30 oclock Sunday afternoon when services will be held at thehouse. Services will also be held at 2 oclock at the St. Peters Church. TheRev. G.E. Bergemann will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery. Commonwealth Reporter- Dated: 8-27-1923 SERVICES HELD FOR MRS. IMMEL Funeral One Of Largest In Many Months at St. Peters The funeral of Mrs. Caroline Immel, widow of George Immel, and who diedThursday evening at the residence, 251 Fond du Lac Avenue, was held at1:30 oclock Sunday afternoon at the residence and at 2 oclock at St.Peters Lutheran Church, Rev. G.E. Bergemann officiating. It was one ofthe largest funerals held at St. Peters church in many months. There wasa beautiful and expensive floral display. Bearers were six sons of the deceased. They were Albert, Edward, George,Ernest, Arnold and Oscar. Burial was at Forest Cemetery where the Rev. F.Klingbeil conducted services at the grave. Those attending the funeralfrom a distance were: Mrs. L.J. White and son P.M. White of Oakland,California and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Krause and Mr. and Mrs. F. Yerke ofOshkosh; Mr. and Mrs. John Immel, Hortonville.
