Meyer, 51, of 732 Sixteenth, Oshkosh, a brother of Mrs. LeoRodenkirch, of this city, died Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. at Mercy Hospital,Oshkosh, WI., after a weks illness. He was born April 2, 1901, in the Town of Friendship, the son oferman andLouisa Jors Meyer, and on May 30, 1936, was married in the Town of Forestto Miss Florence Rein. After their marriage the couple lived at Oshkosh.Mr. Meyer had been employed as a machinist for the Wisconsin AxleDivision since 1928. He belonged to Oshkosh Grace Evangelical LutheranChurch and C.I.O. Union of the Wisconsin Axle Division. Surviving are his widow; his step mother, Mrs. Augusta Meyer of Town ofFriendship; a brother Ervin of the Town of Friendship; two sisters, Mrs.George Asmus of Milwaukee, and Mrs. Rodenkirsch; and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Grace EvangelicalChurch, with theRev. Ernest Lehninger officiating. Burial will be inRienzi Cemetery, Fond du Lac, WI. The body ofMr. Meyer will be in state at Marquardt Funeral Home of Oshkosh afternoonon Friday until 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, when it will be removed from thechurch.
