Johannes PETRI

[Krug-Grunwald-Tree.GED] Johannes was born July 25, 1802 in Ober Dieden-Hessen Darmstadt, Germanyand died December 2, 1885 in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. Johannes had 9 children, 6 proceeded him in death. He immigrated in 1854with his family, was a charter member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church in theTown of Forest, FDL,Wisconsin. Johannes Petri I, died at the age of 83 years,4 months, and 7 days. Atthe time of his death 4 of his children were living: Elizabeth,Margaret, Jacob & Catherina Ann. Also surviving were 41 Grandchildren &27 Great Grandchildren. He was living with his son-in-law (Henry Krug)for the last 12 years of his life, according to church records. Their two names are still readable on a grey stone in Forest Cemetery,Fond du Lac, WI., The footstone reads A.P. They do have a new monumentnear the flat stones in the ground. 1860 census Town of Forest, WI. John Petri I -62 yrs. Anna-58 yrs. Catharine-24 yrs Catharine -13 yrs (servant)?? Henry-6 yrs. Petri means--One who is son of or another male relative of Peter.
