Notizen zu dieser Person
Johann lived to the ripe old age of 104, moved to Altengottern in 1570. Very likely the following story illustrates his sudden need to move:
When he was 100 years old he sleptwith a burgher's wife on the Petersteinwege, brought her to adultery through his money. He was warned, but then the husband found him in bed with his wife and Johann got away in his shirt. He had toapologize to get his clothes back and he had to promise never to come to this woman again. But Johann had a hole made into the wall of the Antonii Hospital, where he worked and lived as a member ofthe clergy, put an Iron Cross there, and brought the whore (the word used in the document) in and out by night. (After all he had only promised not to go to her.) That finally got the town to kick him out till he settled with the town council. This kind of corruption by the clergy was one of the causes for the violent uprisings of the Peasant Wars.
