A memorial service for William Edward “Bill” Welsbacher Sr., 51, will be conducted at 3 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 9, 2010, at Memorial Baptist Church, 202 19th Street, in Wheatland with Pastor Ken Grant officiating.
He died Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010, at Memorial Hospital of Converse County in Douglas, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. He was working for Croell Redi-Mix at the time of his death.
Bill was born Oct. 25, 1958, in Huntington Park, Calif., the son of Thomas Robert and Doris Mae (Devine) Welsbacher. He was a kind and loving father, grandfather and friend. There were no limitations to his compassion, and he made a lasting impact on each life that he crossed. He will be missed dearly by all.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Karen; three daughters, Jennifer, Lynda and Amy; his only son, William Edward Welsbacher Jr.; three siblings, Shaun, Patrick and Mary; lifelong friend, Bill Levasseur; seven grandchildren, Brianna, Serenity, J.J., Ian, Alexander, Zachary and Trent; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Arrangements are under the direction of Gorman Funeral Homes – Platte Chapel of Wheatland.
