[no date] Geraldine D. Staib Schlitter, 90, of 31 Hicock Drive, Southbury, died Monday at Watertown Convalarium. She was the wife of the late Royal M. Schlitter Sr. Born in Bethel, Feb. 10, 1907, she was a daughter of Henry and Elvira Seaberg Staib. Following her marriage, she lived in Danbury for many years before moving to live with her daughter Geraldine Nelson, in Southbury in 1992. During World War I she volunteered as an aide at Danbury Hospital. She enjoyed nature and gardening. Besides her daughter Geraldine, she is survived by a son, Royal M. Schlitter Jr. of New Fairfield; two other daughters, Jane E. Shepard of Derry, N.H. and Barbara Napier of Waldorf, Md.; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Contributions may be made to the Southbury Volunteer Ambulance Association, P.O. Box 1002, Southbury, CT 06488. There are no calling hours. Funeral services will be convenience of the family. Hull Funeral Service, 60 Division Street, Danbury, is handling arrangements.
