John BALL

John Ball 80 of North Canton, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother passed away Thursday October 4, 2012 after a brief illness. John served in the Air Force, was retired from the Monroe Calculator Co. and later worked at the Duncan Hill Group. John was a private man, but he was known by friends and family for his ready wit, his love of reading, his interest in history and politics and his eye for detail as expressed by his passion for constructing scale model replicas of cars and planes. He is survived by his three daughters Victoria Mark Smith of Strasburg, Cynthia Jeff Chandler of Charlotte, NC and Susan Paul Lilue Monahan of Chicago, IL, along with his brother Timothy Patty Clifford of Cranberry, PA. He is also survived by four grandchildren Julie Michael Bickis, Alex Brandie Reader, Johanna Machamer and Tanner Gordon, as well as two great-grandchildren Brendan and Nathan Bickis. He was preceded in death by his parents Margaret Monahan Clifford and John Clifford and his brothers John Clifford and George Clifford. Friends may call at a celebration of John's life on Sunday, October 7, 2012 from 2-4 PM at St. Stephen Martyr Lutheran Church, 4600 Fulton Dr. NW, Canton, Ohio. The family requests no flowers. The family would like to thank the staff at Aultman Hospital's Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit and Step-down Unit for their care and kindness.
