Ethel Jean Goble, 75, of Burlington, died at 5:35 PM Wednesday, October 29, 2014, at The Madison in Fort Madison.

Born August 3, 1939, in Elberon, IA, she was the daughter of Fred and Lucille Konicek Parizek. On November 27, 1957 she married Larry Kiesel in Vinton, IA. They later divorced. She then married Stan Goble at Asbury United Methodist Church in Burlington. He preceded her in death in 1992.

Ethel was a factory worker in Iowa City and Burlington. She also was an office manager for CA Woodruff Dentistry, worked for LaMont Ltd., owner/operator of Haller's Tavern and was a part-time hostess of Steve's Place.

She was a graduate of Keystone Consolidated High School in Keystone, IA.

She was a member of the Burlington Gym where she also was an officer and bar manager. She enjoyed playing bridge, reading, playing slot-machines, suduko, and her cat, Misty. She was a lifetime bowler, including bowling on the Office Girl League in Burlington. She had a very large coffee cup collection, well over 100 coffee cups. She was a turtle.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Bernice Dulin, and one sister and brother in infancy, Margaret and Stanley.
