Sie hatten 12 Kinder. Seine Frau Elizabeth starb am 16. August 1867 und wurde auf dem Snake Creek Cemetery in Needville (Region Richmond), Ft. His father, Capt Samuel James Gill served in the Revolutionary War. Robert James Gill first married Elizabeth Ann Cherry on Nov 15, 1830 in Greene County, Alabama. They had 12 children. His wife, Elizabeth, died on Aug 16, 1867 and was buried in the Snake Creek Cemetery in Needville (Richmond area), Ft. Bend County, Texas where they were living on the Peter Lawley West and wife Virena Clementine Gill-West (my 2nd great grandparents) property at the time. Note: Robert James Gill &amp; Elizabeth Ann Cherry-Gill were my 3rd greatgrandparents on my maternal side. His parents, Capt Samuel James Gill &amp; Mary Ann Fox-Gill were my 4th great grandparents). After Elizabeth died, Robert moved to Blanco/Johnson City (Blanco County), Texas where he met and married Martha Ann Avant-Bass on Dec. 2, 1872 in Johnson City, Blanco Co., Texas (Robert J. Gill was Martha's 2nd marriage; her 1st husband William Dolphin Bass was reportedly killed in 1869). Robert and Martha had at least one son: Robert A. Gill (1876-1879) who died before he was4 years old and is buried near his parents in Section 6D-11.
