Details: Richard L. Mattson Richard L. Mattson, age 74, of 2240 Fairmont St., Manitowoc, died Tuesday evening, Jan. 10, 2006, at his residence. He was born April 28, 1931, in Menominee, Mich., son of the late Victor and Stella Arsineau Mattson. Richard served in the U.S. Navy from 1948 to 1952. On March 20, 1971, he married the former Kathleen Smock in Two Rivers. Richard was employed with Hamilton Manufacturing for 31 years, retiring in 1993. After retiring, Richard worked at St. Paul's United Methodist Church as a custodian. Survivors include his wife: Kathleen Mattson, Manitowoc; three sons and two daughters-in-law: Terry and Becky Mattson, Flower Mound, Texas; Ricky and Cindy Mattson, West Bend; and Timothy Allen Mattson, Two Rivers; two daughters and sons-in-law: Tammy and Chad Nelson, St. Nazianz; and Dawn and Robert Hein, Manitowoc; 13 grandchildren; one greatgrandson; his stepmother: Marge Mattson, Marinette; two brothers: Tony Mattson, Texas, and Russell Mattson, Menominee, Mich.; and a sister: Victoria Mattson, Marinette. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a son: Tim Victor Mattson. The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Manitowoc, from 9 a.m. Friday, Jan. 13, 2006, until the time of service at Il a.m. Funeral services will be held at Il a.m. Friday, Jan. 13, 2006, at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Manitowoc. OfT1ciating at the service will be the Rev. Thomas Dunham, with entombment at Knollwood Mausolem, Highway 310, Manitowoc. Military Rites will be accorded by VFW Otto oas Post 659.
