1 Details: RIB LAKE - Richard Lee 'Dick' Dehne, 63, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2008, at the Golden Living Center in Rib Lake. Dick was born April 15, 1945, in Racine, to Hollister and Hazel (nee: Jacobson) Dehne. On May 26, 1973, Dick was married to JudyLee Becker in San Antonio, Texas. They later were divorced. He attended grade school in Racine and was a 1963 graduate of Horlick High School. He served his country with the United States Army for three years, with the United States Air Force for eight years, and the Army National Guard for one year, serving two tours of duty in Vietnam. Dick was a Foreman at several window manufacturing companies and had also owned the Cattail Tap in the Town of Greenwood. Dick was a member of the Rib Lake Lions Club and a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. In his younger years, he was an All Star basketball player for the Racine Horlick High School team. Dick was an avid Wisconsin sports fan and a Notre Dame fan. He enjoyed getting together with friends to watch sporting events. He is survived by two daughters, Heather Dehne and fiancé, Dean Woellner of Merrill and Page Vlach of Rib Lake; five grandchildren, Cody, Casie Jo, Cole, and Carson Woellner and Maesyn Vlach; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack (Barb) Dehne of Racine and Rev. James (Val) Dehne of Ponca, Okla.; and one sister and brother-in-law, Sue (Willie) Lewis of Racine. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded by his parents. A Memorial service will be held at St. John Lutheran Church in Rib Lake on Saturday, June 7, 2008, at 1 p.m. with Rev. Roger Sloan officiating. Full Military Honors will be conducted immediately following the services. Inurnment will be in Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
