It expanded and became the Kenosha County Interfaith Network and she served as the volunteer treasurer until 1993. She continued serving as a board member and the last few years was named an Honorary Board Member. Ruth was active in many leadership roles at Immanuel United Methodist Church where she was a member. Up until Ruth was 90 she could be found each month at Immanuel UMC at 3:00 a.m. preparing breakfast for the "Inns" program. When it was Immanuel UMC's turn to staff the Shalom Center Soup Kitchen, she recruited the volunteers and cooked the large kettles of soup. Ruth also helped to organize the annual CROP Walk and served as treasurer for 30 years.
