Hulda Schmidt Services for Hulda Schmidt, 91, of Glen Ellyn, formerly of Somers, Wis., will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at Hansen Funeral Home, 6019 7th Ave., Kenosha, Wis. Born Jan. 23, 1907, in Kenosha, to Robert and Augusta Becker, she died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 1998, at Edwards Hospital, Naperville. Interment will follow the services, in Oakwood Cemetery, Somers, Wis. Mrs. Schmidt was united in marriage with her husband, Paul Sclimidt, on April 19, 1929. She attended Village Bible Church of Carol Stream and was very active in 4-H with sewing and cooking classes. Survivors include her son, Paul R. Schmidt of Medford, Wis., daughter Violet Schnmidt Poling of Glen Ellyn,, brother, Erwin Becker of Gilman, Wis,; sisters, Virginia (Charles) Nass and Genevieve (Marvin) Hogrewe, both of Elgin; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul, Nov. 12, 1970; five sisters; and three brothers.
