He is survived by his parents, Bill and Louanne Rauen; sister, Jennifer Rauen; grandfather, George Rauen of Albuquerque; grandparents, Ruth and Marvin Schappet of Maryland; and aunts, uncles and cousins. Stephen was a Life Scout with Troup 200 working on becoming an Eagle Scout. His passion was culinary arts and he wanted to be a chef. He was a sophomore at Del Norte High School where he was a member and officer with Family Careers and Community Leaders of America. As a freshman, he was a member of the freshman football and track teams, competing in discus and shot put. Stephen loved animals. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 21, 2002, 12:00 p.m., at Church of the Risen Savior, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
