{1} Roth 1961-1980, R 9744. {2} Händel 1939, S. 286. Anmerkungen: {2}: "Ward 95 Jahre alt, wie aus seinem Epitaph in der Kirche zu Auerbach ersichtlich war. Kauft 1493 zusammen mit seinem Bruder Leonhard den Zehnten über Reisach (?) am Königstein. 1512 im Bekenntnisbuch vonAuerbach als 'Hans der Ältere', 1514 mit gleichem Zusatz als Zeuge bei der Übergabe des Vermögens des Ulrich Stromer in Auerbach an dessen Enkel Hans und Sebastian Rot. Besaß ein Haus an der oberen nordöstlichen Ecke des Marktplatzes, vermutlich an der Stelle des jetzigen Hauses Nr. 234.
