Sehr geehrter Herr v. Ryssel, besten Dank für Ihre Zeilen. Die Spieß-Geschichte verhält sich so: Anna Martha Sp. (verh. Francke) starb 1636 in Weimar im Alter von 86 Jahren, dürfte also gegen 1550 (in Pegau) geboren sein. Die 1565 geborene Ziegenhorn scheidet also als Mutter aus. Tatsächlich war Regina Ziegenhorn mit einem Jacob Spieß verheiratet, der aber der Sohn unseres Jakob ist, also ein Bruder Marthas. Jakob Spieß d. Ä. starb, wie ich gestern erst herausgefunden habe, im Jahre 1592 in Pegau - genaueres kommt, wenn ich mehr in Erfahrung gebracht haben werde! Die Vorfahren von Melchior Francke sind Ihnen bekannt? Einen von Ihnen "besuchte" ich kürzlich in der Frankfurter Nikolais-Kirche, wo dasGrabmal von Siegfried von Marburg zum Paradies (gest. 1386) steht.
