Harold E McFetrich was born 15 April 1916 in Warren, Trumbull Co., Ohio to Frank Dallas McFetrich and Margaretta "Gretta" (Pardoe) Evans. Harry had five brothers and sisters: Ferol, Velma, Gale, Robert & Wayne all preceding him in death. He married Dorothy Seise 10 Aug 1940, they had no children. Harry's great love was flying airplanes and driving sports cars. Harold began flying in 1935 and owned several airplanes. He sold Nash/Ramblers in Salem, and was a tool & die maker for 13 years. Harry was flying past Cape Canaveral on a clear sunny Wednesday, June 16, 1969 and witnessed first hand the historic Apollo 11 launch. He later met and conversed with Neil Armstrong. He was directly responsible for my own love for flying, private, Air Force and finally Delta Airlines. Wife Dorothy died in July 2000 after 60 years of marriage. Harry passed away in October of 2005 at 89. He is buried in Hope Cemetery.
