Victoria Mager, hotel and apartment house owner and mother of attorney Herman J. Mager, died Wednesday in a San Jose Hospital. Mrs. Mager, 80, had been ill for a week. A native of Alsace Lorraine, France, she lived at 131 N. 17th St here. She came to thiis country 60 years ago and had lived in Santa Clara County for the past 45 years. She was the wife of the late Germann Mager who died in 1957.
Mrs Mager was the owner of a San Jose hotel and also owned two apartment houses.
Her son, attorney Hermann Mager, is legal counsel for the San Jose Real Estate Board and former city attorney of the City of Mountain View. Another son, Emil Mager, of San Jose, also survives.
Funeral services will be held at 8.30 tomorrow morning at the Mission Chapel of Rancadore and Alameda and a Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 9am at St Patrick's CHurch.
Rosary will be recited at 8pm today at the Chapel. Burial will be in Santa Clara Catholic Cemetery.
