Mrs. Florence B. Davis (nee Dunn) passed away early April 29, 1974, in the nursing home at Hull at the age of 72 years. Florence is the daughter of Thomas & Jessie Theodora (Bird) Dunn.

On June 19, 1922 she was united in marriage to Henry Van Houte who preceded her in death on October 25, 1961. On October of 1962, she was united in marriage to Bert E. Davis, who preceded her in death in November of 1963. She is survived by three daughters: Betty (Mrs. Clarence Horsley) of Sioux City; Marjorie (Mrs. Laurence Zurfehr) of North Glen, Colorado; and Donna (Mrs. Thomas Owens) of Lombard, Illinois. She is also survived by six grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and eleven step-grandchildren. one sister, Clara Davis, preceded her in death. Mrs. Davis had come to Boyden in 1925 and had resided in the area until her death. Her passing is mourned by many friends and relatives. Services were held at the United Presbyterian Church of Boyden, Iowa at 1:30 P.M. Thursday, May 2, 1974. Reverend Paul Moon officiated. Organist was Mrs. Kenneth Meyn. Special music was a solo by Mrs. Alfred Doorenbos. Casket bearers were Glen Rensink, Henry Boelsma, Louis De Boer, Wayne Horsely, Clair Horsley and Larry Horsley. Burial was in the Boyden Cemetery
