June 19, 1911 - December 21, 2014 103. Edith Overland died peacefully at home in Leisure Village, Camarillo. Born in Berlin, Germany, she moved to Barcelona to marry her husband of sixty-three years, Dr. Max F. Overland, who died in 2000. The couple had two children, Sylvia Nicoletti (Anthony) and Mark Overland (Barbara). In 1940 the family moved to Havana, Cuba and in 1949, to Caracas, Venezuela. In 1950, the Overland family moved to the United States, settling in the Hancock Park area of Los Angeles. Edith was a loving and devoted wife and was especially dedicated to her husband's well-being after he was diagnosed with Alzheimers in the late 1980's. Edith traveled the world, well into her nineties. She is survived by her children, 4 grandchildren, Karen Williams, Christina Monaghan (Brendan), Candace Davis (Brenton) and Courtney Graff (Jason) and, three great-grandchildren, Ashley Williams, Dylan Davis and Sydney Graff. The Overland family extends its heartfelt gratitude to Edith's long-time caregivers, Priscilla and Betty. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on January 3, 2015 at 10:30 a.m., at Corpus Christi Church in Pacific Palisades. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Marymount High School, 10643 Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles 90077, attn. Rachel Grella-Harding.
