Possibly the progenitor of all persons named Mokotowski. The actual link between the Mokotowskis and Mokotows is unclear. Zvi Kitov, son of Eliyahu Kitov, claimed that his father and Fishel Mokotow met once in Jerusalem and confirmed they were related to each other but the results of the conversation were never documented. The Kitov have a family legend that they are descended from "Yitzkhak ha-Malach" (Isaac, the angel) who lived to almost 100 years of age and was very pious. This is the justification of placing all Mokotowskis as descendants of this man. There are no vital records of a Mokotowski that links back to this person. There are no birth records of children of this man.
