This baptism of Margretha, daughter of Romey and Mechtild, took place two months after Romey remarried to Margretha, which seems very puzzling as babies were normally baptised on, or very soon after, the day of birth. It is possible that the names were wrongly recorded and that the mother was actually Margretha, but that would have meant she married when 7 months pregnant, which was unusual. Also, there are no recorded deaths of the two wives, Mechtild and Margretha.
