<p style="text-align: left;" dir="ltr"><br /><strong>1632<br /></strong>In Gompertshausen vernichtet eine Brandkatastrophe, verursacht durch kriegerische Handlungen, die Marienkirche, Pfarrhaus, Schule neun Bauernhöfe. Umgehend ist man bemüht, das geschädigte Dorf mit seiner Kirche wieder aufzubauen. Pfarrer Conrad Caroli muss in die Fremde flüchten, wo er auch verstirbt. Der Ort hat von 1637 bis 1644 keinen eigenen Pfarrer mehr. Die Seelsorge übernimmt der Pfarrer aus dem benachbarten Westhausen.</p>
