She was a U.S. Navy veteran, stationed at Norfolk, VA and served as a WAVE during World War II. Henrietta was assistant treasurer for the Washington City Schools for many years before her retirement in 1986.
<p>She was a member of the McNair Memorial Presbyterian Church; Paul H. Hughey Post #25 of the American Legion; the Fayette County Historical Society; the Twenty Club and the Fayette County Chapter ofthe School Employees Retirement Organization. She formerly was an Emergency Communications Duty Worker for the American Red Cross in Fayette County.
