"Meine Großeltern sind mir von Besuchen her noch in lebhafter Erinnerung. Mein Großvater, Kirchenvorsteher in Wansdorf, war ein stets freundlicher, gutherziger Mann, der mit seinem ebenso freundlichen Weibe in altgewohnter Bescheidenheit auf dem Hof der Familie in Wansdorf lebte".
