Esther Powers, geb. Brose, verließ dieses Leben am 20. April 2024. Geboren als Sohn von Michael und Nora Brose am 13. Oktober 1930 in Bucyrus, Ohio, war Esther bis zu seinem Tod im Jahr 2006 für fünfundfünfzig Jahre mit Gordon Powers verheiratet. Sie hinterlässt die Töchter Lynda Garberoglio (Ron), Ellen Sobocinski (Carl), Aileen und Enkel Alyson und Michael.
Esther führte ein langes und manchmal beschwerliches Leben. Als sie gerade geboren wurde, als die Große Depression begann, sah sie den Zweiten Weltkrieg, erlebte landwirtschaftliche Arbeitskräfte, Fabrikarbeit, Bürojobs und war zuletzt eine Überschweife für Cuyahoga Falls. Mit Ehemann Gordon mühte sie sich am Lake Erie und Sommern in ihrem Urlaubsanhänger in der Nähe des Sees an. Ihr Vermächtnis setzt sich durch ihre fachkundige Stickerei und Handarbeit fort.
