Ruth A. Beier BEIER Ruth A. Ruth A. Beier, 88, of Fremont, died early Saturday morning, January 3, 2009, at Fremont Memorial Hospital. She was born May 27, 1920, to the late Paul and Rose (Foos) Snyder. On February 18, 1941, she married Robert P. Beier, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fremont. Surviving are her children, Jim (Marcia Marinis) Beier of Fremont; daughter-in-law, Sharon Beier (husband, the late Fred Beier) of Perrysburg, Ohio, Tom (Lynn Lytle) Beier of Miami, FL, Mike (Shari Colvin) of Perrysburg, Ohio, Steve (Beth Reineck) of Swanton, Ohio, Barb (Roger) Haynes of Fremont, Bill (Lynn Freeh) of Middlebury, Indiana, Chuck (Mary Chudzinski) of Swanton, Ohio, and Jan (Jerry) Dickman of Fremont; 27 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald Snyder, also survives. Along with her parents, Ruth is preceded by husband, Robert; son, Fredrick; brother, Richard Snyder; sister, Coletta Lehman. Ruth was a beautician, co-owner of Meadow Magic in Fremont, a 4-H Advisor for many years and worked at the Sugar Beet Co., as a scale operator. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where she was a member of the Rosary Society and the Altar Rosary Society. Ruth also held memberships in the St. Joseph Booster Club and the Moose. She was a great cook who loved gardening, sunrises, sunsets and historical family pictures. She will be remembered as a woman devoted to her family, the center of her life. Visitation will be Monday from 6-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. at Keller-Ochs-Koch- Mason Funeral and Cremation Service, 416 S. Arch St., Fremont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday morning at 10:30 a.m. from St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
