Title | Bäumle Robert von Harpolingen (Bad Säckingen) Baden, Auswanderer (1882) nach New Jersey, USA, Großvater von Robert Baumle Meyner |
Description | Ancestors and some descendants of Robert Bäumle, b. 29 May 1849 in Harpolingen, Baden, moved to America in 1882, lived in Paterson NJ, died 12 Mar 1991. Robert Bäumle is a grandfather to the former NJ governor Robert Baumle Meyner. The Bäumle family temporarily lived in Birsfelden Canton Basel-Land, Switzerland but didn't apply for citizenship. This was certified by the Zivilstandsgericht in Birsfelden, CH. So they remained to be "Bürger", i. e. legal citizens of their home town and region, Harpolingen, Baden, Germany, until they immigrated to the U.S. and got american citizenship. |
