Konrad studierte Theologie an der Universität Zürich (Diplom 23.03.1891). Nach 6 Jahren beendet er das Pfarramt und studierte Jurispudenz. Er war Rechtsanwalt und ab 1914 Richter in Arbon. 1918 urde er in den Kirchenrat gewählt und amtierte als Vizepräsident.
