Joseph Willie "Willie" "Uncle Bill" TURNBOW

Birth: 1906 Lewis County Tennessee, USA Death: 1981 Lewis County Tennessee, USA Esther married William Turnbow. The Turnbow family is very grateful to Esther for keeping the oldest known record of all of our family members buried in the Turnbow Cemetery, as long ago as the 1950s. Later in years, she passed this record to Arthur Turnbow, who became owner and caretaker of the Turnbow Cemetery until his death in 2005. The cemetery and much of the surrounding countryside has passed into another Turnbow's hands, still remaining in the family since 1811. Bill and his brother Ed operated a grocery store in Hohenwald, Tennessee. Later, Bill converted the store building into the Gulf filling station on the corner of Main and Court St. in Hohenwald.
