Goodman "Lehman Goodman, Mechanic, Dies; Services Tuesday Lehman Otto Goodman, 62, a well known mechanic and machinist and a resident of 404 Conant Street, died Sunday night at Maury County Hospital following a short illness. Services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Oakes and Nichols Funeral Home, with Dr. George Fitzgerald, minister of the First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. A native of Maury County, he was the son of Bessie Elkins Goodman Cooper of Columbia, and the late Ben Goodman. In 1930 he married the former Virginia Hamby of Columbia. He was a member of the First Presbyterial Church. He was employed at the General Machine Shop at the time of his illness. He had lived in Columbia for the past 35 years. He was a member of the Masons and the Columbia Elks Lodge. Survivors, in addition to his wife and mother, include one daughter, Mrs. Jack (Katherine) Smith; two grandchildren, all of Memphis. Active pallbearers will be William Marshall, Clement Marshall, Buddy Marshall, Willie A. Goodman, Claude Goodman, Jr., L. O. Fitzgerald, Andrew McConnell, Hershell Howell, and Dixon Baker. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Cecil, Colonel J. B. Gracey, William H. Ridley, C. C. Williams, Simon Baker, M. K.
