[Bill's Nutt.FTW] She was ready to start or had started to move to Missouri with her three boys and her brother, William B. Whitfield, and family. She became ill and died on the way and the Masonic Lodge buried her. In one place a note was found saying she died in 1868 and is buried in Arkansas.
Birth: 1835 Death: 1868 Rhoda was the daughter of Eli and Mary "Polly" Whitfield and granddaughter of Willis Whitfield and Rhoda Allen. After her husband, Jasper, died, Rhoda and her three living children, George, Henry, and Bradley, started to move across AR into MO to live with her uncle, William B Whitfield and his wife, Elizabeth Hively Whitfield and their children. Rhoda became ill enroute and died. Willis was a patriot ancestor in the Revolutionary War and is recognized by both the DAR and SAR as such.
