[Bill's Nutt.FTW] Quote from source book: "Patty told me not long ago when I asked how they came to be in the cotton gin business...she said that Earl's father was in the gin business and encouraged them to do that - loaned them money to help them get a start - but it was hard work at first as the war started and they lost most of their help and had to work awfully hard to make a go of it. But as time went on they propsered. Their gin was located in Abernathy, Texas. Patty now lives at the Pecan Plantation located between Granbury and Fort Worth, Texas where she and Earl build their retirement home." Christine Virginia Weatherall Damon, author.
