Alice Ruth KAUFMANN

Birth: Sep. 27, 1917 Death: May 27, 2013 Hohenwald Lewis County Tennessee, USA Mrs. Scheiwiller was born in Hohenwald to the late Fredrich and Elisa Beerly Kaufman. She worked many years at Genesco. Her family were some of the original Swiss Settlers who settled Hohenwald. She was a member of the Hohenwald Cumberland Presbyterian Church , the Cumberland Presbyterian Church Women and the Lewis Co. Historical Society. She enjoyed traveling. Survivors include her niece, Carla Mae Darden of Hohenwald; great nieces, Dawn Leigh Darden of Nashville and DeAnna Kay Darden Carroll (Barry) of Hohenwald; great nephew, Chester Gilbert Darden (Andrea) of Spring Hill; great great nieces, Caroline Grace Darden of Spring Hill and Summer Ashlee Bree Jackson of Waynesboro; great great nephews, Logan Samuel Darden of Spring Hill and Kaden Elijah Carroll of Hohenwald. She also preceded in death by her husband, Chester Scheiweiller and sisters, Rosa Williams, Ida Eggenberger, Bertha Kaufman and Lena Muehlenthaler. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at 3:00 PM graveside at the Swiss Cemetery with Chester Darden officiating. Interment will follow. Visitation with the family will begin at 11:30 on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at the funeral home and continue until time to leave for the graveside services. Family links: Spouse: Chester A.
